How to create your own vision board
I’m a big believer in manifestation. I believe if you truly want something enough, have clarity on the intent and can visualise exactly what the outcome looks like, it’s possible to make it happen.
Manifestation and the process you follow can look and feel different to each person. For me, it’s about aligning myself with the tools to achieve my goals. From clarity, setting realistic goals, planning and most importantly visualisation; which is where creating a vision board comes into play.
Having a list of goals is one thing, but creating a visual aid that will remind and inspire you of your goals daily will make all the difference to the success of achieving them.

"Don't wait another day to make your dreams come true"
I follow the steps below at the end of each year, however, you can implement a vision board at any time of the year when you feel you want to realign yourself with your goals.
Step 1: Choose Your Word for the Year Choose a word for the year. This word should complement your goals and be a reminder of what you’re wanting to achieve.
E.g. My word for 2023 is flourish. It’s my reminder to flourish as a mum, partner, friend, at work, in the kitchen and in health and wellness. Saying this word throughout the day allows me to check in with myself to ensure I’m making decisions that are aligned with achieving my goals.
Step 2: Define Your Goals Begin by making two separate lists: one for your top 5 personal goals and one for your top 5 career goals. By distinguishing between personal and professional aspirations, you can focus on each area of your life without feeling restricted. This method fosters balance and allows you to dream big in both aspects, ensuring that neither personal nor career goals are neglected.
Step 3: Gather Inspirational Images
Collate a collection of inspirational images that help you visualise your goals. Pinterest is great for this, however, you could use personal images or social media as well. Screenshot them and have them ready to go to create your vision board.
Step 4: Create Your Vision Board
Use my Canva Vision Board Template or create your own if you're feeling extra creative. Upload your collection of inspirational images, arrange them in the template as you wish and add some descriptive words that reflect your goals.
Step 5: Display and Embrace Your Vision Board
Save your beautiful vision board and display it in various locations where you will see it on a daily basis. I have digital versions on my computer and phone, as well as printed versions in my bedroom and workspace.
Now that you have completed your vision board you can focus on your goals and bringing them to fruition. Believe in yourself, anything is possible and if you lose your way, use your vision board to steer you back. I’d love to see your creations so be sure to tag me on Instagram @ashleighorchard and share your vision boards with me.
